Just saw The Host

I am a fan of the Twilight movies and books. I was first interested when I found out there was not the usual excessive violence, language

and sex in a vampire series. After that, I was drawn in and became a believer. Being a Stephanie Meyer fan made me want to see The Host. The movie is compelling from the very first moment and will grab Sci Fi fans. The cast has a lot of young, beautiful unknowns, but also has William Hurt. The story is a race of beings who travel from world to world to coexist with hosts. They have taken over the earth and its inhabitants and have healed the planet in exchange. There are Seekers who live to hunt down the small amount of humans left without hosts.

But, the main character happens to have the will not to be taken and tries to kill herself before becoming a host. After she becomes a host, she remains intact in her mind and coexists mentally in her body. That is rare and unforeseen. That is when the real story begins, as she runs away and goes to where she knows her lover and her little brother will be hiding.

I was immediately drawn into the story and was mesmerized until the end. It is a wonderful story and well worth watching!

IMDB database has this to say:

When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and
erasing their memories, Melanie will risk everything to protect the
people she cares most about, proving that love can conquer all in a
dangerous new world. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1517260/?ref_=sr_1
