I am one of those people who doesn’t look forward to Daylight Saving Time. In fact I think it is a pain in the patootey. I don’t mind gaining an hour of sleep in the fall, but when I lose an hour of sleep in March, I get cranky. It takes my body months to get used to losing that hour and sometimes I am still out of sorts by the time November rolls around.

Hubby hates the time change also. His reason is a little different. We have a wall clock in the living room I can’t reach, and one in the kitchen. That means he has to climb up on something to get them down and change them manually. And then, we have two alarm clocks in our bedroom since we get up at different times. He usually changes them also. And of course, there is my tv, my dvd player and the microwave in the kitchen for me to change. He also has a tv, and dvd player in the bedroom. My vcr player decided to die, but it is being used as a holder for the dvd player. It tells the correct time half of the year. I have a brand new clock/radio that automatically changed itself in the middle of the night. I thought it was awesome!

And then there is my new cell phone I bought for myself for Christmas. Don’t get excited. I went from a $30 phone to an upgrade. It’s an LG but not a smart phone. It’s my version of fancy. I looked everywhere in the settings to find out how to change the time since it didn’t automatically change itself. I found nothing. I even went online to read a tutorial on my phone and still found nothing. I know it should have updated itself to the time change. I tried calling my cell phone from my land line. Nothing. I tried calling from another cell phone. Still no change. I spent a couple of hours stewing about it and looking again and again at the same setting options to no avail. I knew the information had to be hidden somewhere in that phone! And then…it came to me! Turn off the phone! Did it work? Voila! When I turned the phone back on, it automatically changed to the new time. Whew. What a crazy amount of time I wasted trying to figure that one out. Am I blonde? Nope. Surely I’m not the only one who had some aggravation.
