Buyer Beware: Uncertified Doc Botches Surgery, Gives Woman Uniboob – ABC News. It is legal in most states for a doctor who is NOT a board certified plastic surgeon to perform plastic surgery! That means a doctor somewhere, to supplement his income, took a course on implants or something and started doing implant surgeries! OMG. If you are going to have plastic surgery done, which is expensive, at least make sure your doctor of choice is actually certified to do the procedure! You risk surgical mistakes that can not be undone as well as your life. Use some sense!
