Sunday afternoon nap

Toby Keith at the 45th Annual Academy of Count...

It’s been a hard week. Some weeks always seem worse than others. And now it’s Sunday with the emotional relief that brings. It is also the one day off hubby and I both share, so we get to see more of each other than usual.  After lunch together, we have big plans. Watch a movie, catch up on work on the computer, read emails, for me…catch up on my blogging.  Always a great expectation, but it didn’t  happen that way. A little work got done, and a little relaxation, and then that familiar lethargic feeling starts floating around the room. Before you know it, an hour or so has passed while I doze off listening to Toby Keith, Rascal Flatt or whoever is singing at the moment on my favorite country music station. It’s an amazing thing. Sometimes I even dream about some country music celebrity as their music envelops me! Pure bliss and the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and get a refreshing boost. By the way, I’ve been known to snooze to Wagner’s The Ring Cycle also. I’m not picky.
