It was a God thing!

Radio

Yesterday, Saturday, was my last day at work. The week before had been very busy, more stressful, and left me exhausted with the extra hours I had worked. When this week started, I felt unrested and still tired. My work week was not as stressful, but still busy. I was back to my regular hours, but each day seemed to accumulate the tiredness on top of the day before and added it to the leftovers of the week previously. When I got up to go to work on Saturday, I felt really exhausted and emotionally drained. It was as if I had gotten no rest the night before. It was a struggle to get ready to face the day. My day began quietly, just full of concentration and the effort to get what needed to be done accomplished. I tried to call my favorite Christian radio station to request a song. It is a new song by Christine Nagel? I call it my praise song. It talks about coming into God’s presence seeking Him with uplifted hands and praising Him. It is full of Alleluia and is quite soul/heart stirring and touching. I absolutely love it! I can never get through to KLove. It is always busy. Today the phone just rang and rang and no one would pick up. I tried two or three times and it was the same way. I sighed and said a quick prayer. “Ok Lord. I REALLY need to hear that song now. I need to get a little praise on to get through this day.” Then I continued with what I was doing. The song on the radio ended and then my attention was grabbed! The very next song was the song I was wanting to hear! OMG. It was awesome and just what I needed at that time! I said several thank you prayers and had a good time singing along with the song on the radio. I received my little pick-me-up and a smile. God is good!

People are sometimes astounded with how God communicates with us. He can use anything he wants- including a radio to get our attention. Great post!
