Who Am I?

Stargate SG1 Cast Autograph

For those who actually read my blog, I thought I’d introduce myself a little. I am a 61-year-old mother/grandmother/wife. We’ve been married 41 years this year in June. It sometimes seems like it has been a very short life, and sometimes it seems as if we’ve known each other our whole lives. We met in the 7th grade and got married after our 2nd year in college. I finally went back and finished my college degree after our 2 children were grown and moved out. By then, I was in my 40’s and had an established career in cake decorating. Career? When did that job become a career? LOL Time does pass by. I have developed a few physical problems over time. I have become accustomed to quite a bit of arthritis in my hands, wrists, shoulders and knees, but who doesn’t have some at my age? I also have bone spurs in my knees which has prevented me from straightening my legs out. That snuck up on me gradually. I was having more and more trouble walking, graduating to a cane, and then a walker while developing a bent stoop when I stood or walked. Finally wanting to know exactly what was happening, was when I found out about the bone spurs and that I need two total knee replacements. I just need to lose about 100 lbs. first! In this day and age of medical marvels and expertise, I want to be all fixed up by tomorrow! I’ve never been a patient woman. LOL.
On my days off, you will find me here, reading and writing blogs. It is my way to learn and to grow and to express myself. I really enjoy sounding off once in a while. Since my job is only part-time, I also have started selling AVON from my new online Store. Please check out esthersavon.com. I can always use a new customer or two! I really enjoy my online store and blogging about AVON there. I’d like it to become an income instead of a hobby! If you know of anyone who likes AVON please feel free to pass along my webpage addy.
I like reading and help my daughter read and edit/critique/proofread works by hopeful new authors. It is quite interesting. I am a Trekkie. I’ve watched the various series since the original came out in the 60’s. I have a whole library of Star Trek novels in each series. Stargate SG1 is also a favorite as well as NCIS. Those are the shows I tend to watch over and over in re-runs.
I love dancing moves and watch So You Think you can Dance and Dancing with the Stars each season religiously.
I am Christian and Catholic, and tend to be very conservative in my old age. I finally have learned to be comfortable in who and what I am. It’s just sad it took me so long! LOL.
Glad to meet everyone! See you around WordPress!

Just wanted to say, Happy Anniversary. Of course, I don’t know the exact date, but I do know you celebrate your anniversary in June, from reading your blog.

May God bless you and your spouse!
