Deputies seek protection after threatening family

Deputies seek protection after threatening family. This is a weird story. Apparently, a 6 week old anonymous tip about a family led some social workers to check out a family, their newly built house, and the kids who were being home schooled. The social workers had no legal reason to force themselves into the house, so took deputies with them to make sure they were allowed inside. They threatened to arrest the parents and remove the children if they weren’t allowed to search the house. There were no warrants or probable cause to search the house and they left after 5 minutes. Now a judge is siding with the family against the deputies and the social workers.  Sounds like another case of using your authority to get what you want without concern for the citizens legal rights.

About estherlou

My husband and I married in 1970. I am the mother of 2 and grandmother to 5. I am a retired wedding cake decorator. I like watching Netflix on the Wii. I am catching up on all of the old tv shows I missed when they were on prime time! Right now though, I am reading and writing blogs, watching tv, making jewelry and rosaries, selling in my Etsy store and playing solitaire. I am home bound and add in my physical therapy exercises to my daily routine. I will blog about my progress or anything that catches my attention at that moment. See you around and thanks for stopping by!
