» Gov’t drops defense of anti-gay marriage law News. It seems that every day there is something in the news that changes the America that I grew up in. It used to be understood that marriage meant a man and a woman. There never needed to be a law to define what marriage was. And now, times are a-changing. Now, the government says it is wrong to impose the Defense of Marriage Act on our populace…

“Attorney General Eric Holder said President Barack Obama has concluded that the administration cannot defend the federal law that defines marriage as only between a man and a woman. He noted that the congressional debate during passage of the Defense of Marriage Act “contains numerous expressions reflecting moral disapproval of gays and lesbians and their intimate and family relationships – precisely the kind of stereotype-based thinking and animus the (Constitution’s)Equal Protection Clause is designed to guard against.”

What does this mean? Perhaps it is time to pay up on campaign promises? Or, just more political correctness run amok? As I said…times are a-changing…
