The economy has been sluggish. For about 2 years now, we have struggled a bit. Mostly because our grown daughter has been looking for work after being laid off from a good job and not called back. She was one of several hundred in our area to lose their job. She did unemployment for a while, which was 2/3 of her salary, and bills started getting behind. Robbing Peter to pay Paul worked for a time, but things progressively got worse. We would help out with a bill here, and a bill there, or pay for car repairs. Then the unemployment ran out and she got a part-time job at minimum wage, which was even less money coming in than before. So, instead of catching up, she was trying to stretch a smaller amount of money over her bills. Meanwhile, I work about 32 hours a week. As time has passed, it seems as if the money just isn’t stretching like it used to. Peter and Paul are tapped out. So, I’ve decided to sell Avon. I am partly handicapped, using a wheelchair if I need to go anywhere. So, delivering Avon products would not be feasible. Therefore, I am selling exclusively online. The products are shipped directly to you, but I still get credit when you buy from my webpage. It is just a little slow going. It is hard to get new customers to order online. And personally, I am an online junkie! LOL I love ordering from Swiss Colony, Amazon.com, half.com, etc. I order books and have ordered Avon myself online. I love getting packages in the mail! So, I am ranting a little just to let off steam and get rid of some of my frustration. Anyone out there know someone who likes Avon? Pass along my info. Or buy a lipstick!
