Egypt Shows How Easily Internet Can Be Silenced – CNBC. There is so much going on in Egypt now, it is hard to decide which is more scary! Rioting in the streets and anger out of control by the entire populace is pretty disturbing, but silencing our access to the internet is extreme. It is censorship taken to a new level. It really makes you stop and think. Thank goodness, the article ends with the opinion that this would be practically impossible in the US due to the many internet providers involved as well as…would it be legal for the government to do something like this here? Scary thought indeed…throw back to Big Brother is Watching.
