“Center Stage”

I’m an amateur fan of dance. By that I mean I love to watch dance movies of almost any genre. I just have never danced myself. Ballet, hip hop, ballroom, I have always loved watching the movements the human body could make. Pure, strong, elegant, sensual, amazing & heart stopping. The flick of a wrist, gesture, or point of a toe can tell a story or evoke a powerful emotion. I get caught up and taken away to a special place of pure enjoyment.

I just watched such a movie. Beautiful dance but so much more. I was swept away and into the story, the behind the scenes life of dancers and their lives, their struggles and their choices. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. “Center Stage” is worth watching if you love dancing.
