A Touch of Nature

It rained during the night. The ground was damp and everything seemed fresh and new. Outside our window, the birds were enjoying breakfast in the yard. We’ve been watching several pair of Morning Doves in our area. They were there, enjoying their morning repast, along with the Blackbirds and the Sparrows. We live in a housing edition in the city, so we don’t have a lot of wildlife come by too often. I’ve been watching a young jack rabbit who visits our cul-de-sac most mornings and evenings, but didn’t see him today. Hubby leaves for work at 4:45a.m. A couple of days ago, as he pulled out of the garage, he saw a small red fox frozen in the yard who watched him for several seconds before dashing off. That must have been a sight to see!

It’s nice to take the time, whenever possible, to just be still, and look and see, and enjoy what is around you.

I hope Mr. Fox didn’t find Mr. Bunny! I know he has to eat dinner too, but I don’t want to know about it.
